The house is a 15 minute walk away from UEM, which is very convenient for accessing the university easily. The common area is large, and it even has a bar! This bar was very popular among everybody that lived in the house. The bedrooms are also large, which allows the tenants to have spacious private areas with working desks, closets and beds. Space was not an issue. Apart from these positive aspects of the property, there were also many negative ones. It was mould growing in the roof of my room, as well as in the bathrooms. This fungus was countered with some "fungus cream" and paint - which didnt really last for more than a few months at a time before it blossomed again. The whole area for rent is in the basement, and there is literary no ventilation. It is the perfect area for fungus to grow in the hot and moist summer. I would give my room 5 stars, had it not been for the cold and the fungus. The electricity is quite aggressive in the house. Yeah, this sounds weird i know. I would get small electrical shocks in my ears if i charged my phone at the same time as i was on the phone. The oven caught fire in its electrical socket when i was cooking in early January as well. The landlord blamed it on bad maintenance of the oven, which resulted in deposit cuts from several tenants. I have everything well documented, it was the electrical socket that burned due to electrical sparks in a clean socket entry. Sadly, posting pictures is not an option here. The electricity is controlled by the landlord, which results in a really chilly house in the winter. When i addressed this issue, the landlord told me to use shoes/flipflops to counter the cold. As a Norwegian, its safe to say that i am very familiar with countering cold winters. Using flipflops is not the answer. I moved out on the 15th of January, five months prior to my initial check out date. I did not get my deposit back, despite my complaints and the many well documented hazards in the house. It is worth to note that the deposit is not part of the uniplaces agreement, which means its between the tenant and the landlord.

It was nice to have a pool in the summer. Very convenient location for UEM. There was damp and black mould in both bathrooms and several of the bedrooms. The house is very dark and cold during the winter (There is only heating in the kitchen) - the pictures make the house look a lot lighter than it is.

Foi um quarto pequeno e sem janela... as condições do quarto são sofríveis... os espaços comuns são razoáveis... de bom... estar relativamente perto da faculdade, o que facilita as deslocações. Não gostei de não haver contrato escrito nem recibo. A limpeza é razoável.
