Avenida da Liberdade is one of the main avenues in Lisbon, and very probably the poshest one. For a student living in Lisbon, to live near Avenida da Liberdade could be a perfect way to experience the city in every single way. Avenida da Liberdade is over 1 km long and it links Praça dos Restauradores and Marquês de Pombal. It is supposed to resemble one of Paris' boulevards. It also boasts of the fanciest stores and hotels of the city. It is a perfect place to live if you move mostly by metro, for example, as it stays in the city centre and has its own metro station (Avenida - blue line) and two others near by (Restauradores - blue line, and Marquês - blue and yellow lines). Buses and taxis go up and down Avenida da Liberdade all the time.
