St. John's Wood is one of the wealthiest areas of London. According to a survey in 2014, it was actually the area with the highest average rent in the whole of London. It is a peaceful village full of young professionals, right in the middle of the city. St John’s Wood is close to Maida Vale and Regent's Park, in the northeast of the city. Rents are high unless you're living in a river boat on the canal in Little Venice! Other accommodation options are mainly elegant mansions and townhouses. St. John's Wood is very close to the London, Regent's and European Business Schools as well as the University of Westminster or the Royal Academy of Music. You can reach any of London's central universities such as: SOAS, University College London, City University, Birkbeck College, RADA or LSE on foot, or via the tube relatively ease. St. John's Wood is connected to the wider city by St. John's Wood (Jubilee) and South Hampstead (Overground).
