The Faculty of Sciences (FCUP) is, since its formation, in 1911, the School of the University of Porto responsible for the Teaching of Exact and Natural Sciences. Over the years, teaching has been accompanied more and more closely by research and development activities, which makes it possible to consolidate the scientific rigor that characterizes its training activity at graduate and postgraduate levels. The Faculty of Sciences, continuing to be responsible for degrees in areas of Exact and Natural Sciences, such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geology, in order to ensure a training to the demands and expectations of the modern world. In terms of postgraduate training, the Faculty of Sciences presents a diversified offer in terms of postgraduate courses, master's degrees and doctorates in various areas of knowledge.
