Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt is located in the south of Munich’s historical centre. From here you can walk to some of the main tourist attractions in the city, such as the Sendlinger Tor and the Frauenkirche cathedral. The area of Isarvorstadt is a vibrant residential area with lots of bars, pubs, and clubs, around the beautiful Gärtnerplatz square. This is a popular location for a summer drink with friends during the warm nights. The area of Ludwigsvorstadt has many hotels, hostels, international diners and casinos. Munich Central Station is located here. In the east area the Isar River crosses the neighbourhood bringing a fresh breeze to Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt and a new enchantment to the area.
