1 slaapkamer appartement

My honest opinion I would not recommend this flat as we wouldnt go back. But first of all the location is great! The flat is based right behind the Central Market in the old town and the flat is as beautiful as in the pictures. But that said, I have to add some negative aspects of the flat. First there is no Air-Condition in the flat, which should be included for that price (specially if you compare with others). And during summer the two fans were just not enough (we couldnt sleep). Then I have to add that the flat is quite old, meaning that it is easy to break things and the landlord is not very understandable. For example the next to the sink in the kitchen is wood. He told us to be careful as the wood couldnt get to wet and the last couple didnt take care and had to pay him a fee. But well, you need the sink to wash the dirty cuttlery and it does get a little wet around. But we were just always very cautious and tried to dry the wood next to the sink every time we used it. We had the issue of a broken fan (they do brake after some time) and the landlord did question us if we broke it on purpose (why would we do that?). We did got a new one, but we had to wait 10 days, which was a lot during the heat wave! Furtermore the kitchen is only basic, if you dont stay for long or do not do too much cooking, it is totally fine. We stayed more than 3 months and like to cook, so we did had to buy additional cooking stuff. We also did ask the landlord for a Wok and for his credit, he did bring us one. Unfortunately it was very old and rusty, so we couldnt use it. But the worst of all was the moving out part. 4 days before the check-out date I checked with the landlord about the time schedule. He answered that he is not in the country and that he did give us the option to stay longer. Well he did, but I never told him that we take the offer. So we already bought our train tickets out of Valencia. The whole moving out got very stressfull from that point on and till the night before the check-out, we didnt know how it will be. Since there was a security deposit of 920€ it was a problem. At the end a friend of ours helped us out by holding on to the keys till the landlord got home. My friend (Valencian) did tell us, she never saw something like it, as they were looking for something wrong. As we took good care and cleaned it very good, they couldnt find anything. I also did write the landlord on his arrival day and send him even a video of the flat and asked him to give us a feedback. One week later, I never got anything from him, not even an apologize for the inconvenience. So my honest opinion is that the flat is very pretty and we loved it, but it was too hot, you had to care too much about not breaking anything and we couldnt trust the landlord.

The apartment was awesome! It felt like a real home. It had everything you need and the location was perfect. Even though the apartment is right in the center, it was still a rather quiet and peaceful street, except during Las Fallas, but then the whole city is full of life and music (which I love)! However, because the bedroom wasn't facing the street you could still get a really quiet and good night sleep. I really enjoyed staying in this flat. You have tons of restaurants and shops just around the corner, and you also have the central market just a few minutes away. AND, you are also close to the park. A perfect location in other words. The only slightly negative thing about the flat was that it was quite dark, you didn't really get any sunlight through the windows. It wasn't a problem for me as I was always out and about anyway. I will definitely come back to this flat next time I go to Valencia.
