FIND YOUR ACCOMMODATION IN PORTA TICINESE
One of the most popular and historic neighbourhoods of Milan is Porta Ticinese, located at the end of Via Torino, one of the shopping streets of Milan and the beginning of the Navigli channels.
This district was named after the Porta Ticinese, one of the many gates of Milan's old town wall. The gates have been restored and designed in a neoclassical style and are located at a famous place in Milan: Piazza XXIV Maggio. This area is very popular, especially on warm evenings when people meet for drinks in the local bars.
Piazza Vetra, a small park with a long and turbulent history, is situated behind the Basilica of San Lorenzo. Now it is much calmer and safer here - it is the meeting point for students and dog sitters. For those looking for a furnished accommodation, Ticino is the perfect area when wanting to live in the heart of the city without having groups of drunk people under their window.
