Dreta de L'Eixample refers to the right side of the famous widening of Barcelona, whose central axis is located in the street Balmes. It is a central neighborhood in the heart of the city, with wide streets and beautiful residential buildings, offering endless possibilities for leisure and entertainment. Here you can find the famous Rambla de Catalunya, Paseo de Gracia and some of the best examples of Barcelona's modern architecture, such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. In this area you can also find the Conservatory of Music, several art galleries and the Coliseum Theater. It is, undoubtedly, one of the liveliest neighborhoods in the city.
UNIVERSITIES
The University of Barcelona is located just across the Calle Balmes, on the left side of the widening. It is not necessary to use the public transport to go to the university, since you can walk in just 20 minutes. If you prefer, you can go by bus (lines 50 and H12). The nearest metro stop is Universitat (lines 1 and 2).
The Polytechnic University of Catalonia has two campuses, located on both sides of Avenida Diagonal, and also has its own metro stop (Zona Universitaria, line 3). The metro ride from Paseo de Gracia takes 25 minutes.

From here you can arrive by public transport to Sants train station in 25 minutes, to Sagrada Familia in 15 minutes and to Placa de Catalunya in just 9 minutes.
