The Tetuán neighborhood is located in the north of Madrid, whose main axis is the Calle Bravo Murillo. It is formed by the districts of Cuatro Caminos, Bellas Vistas, Castillejos, Almenara, Valdeacederas and Berruguete and is a very heterogeneous district, both socially and architecturally. It border east with the Paseo Castellana and here the financial complex AZCA is located, as well as Plaza Castilla and the busy station of Nuevos Ministerios.
UNIVERSITIES
Tetuán does not host any of the major universities in Madrid, but its good public transport connections make it a good place to look for university accommodation. For example, the metro ride from the Cuatro Caminos station to the Ciudad Universitaria (where the Complutense University, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the UNED faculty of Education are located) only takes 22 minutes taking metro line 6. If you study in the Autonomous University you can arrive in 27 minutes by bus from Plaza Castilla. Even if you study in an university located south of Madrid like Carlos III University in Getafe, you can go by train using Cercanías (C4) from Nuevos Ministerios in 33 minutes.
