Just outside the Vatican walls, Prati is a neighbourhood built in a grid form, with wide avenues and elegant buildings. Removed from the historical centre, Prati is a business-area with elegant office-buildings and open plazas. In Prati’s main street, Via Cola di Rienzo, there are high-end shops from Italian and international designers and terraces where you can enjoy a cappuccino, whilst seeing people pass by. If you follow the river you will reach the historical centre. During the summer the river area comes to life as food festivals and bars open on the shores. Prati is filled with great authentic Roman trattorie and Wine bars and pubs where there’s often live music.
