El Besòs i el Maresme is a neighbourhood in the Sant Martí district . This is a calm neighbourhood with residential towers standing out in a landscape dominated by low-rise buildings. The grid-shape neighbourhood was built in the 60’s to house the massive migration that came from the south of Spain, so most constructions are from this period. The neighbourhood has many restaurants, cafes, bars, commercial areas and stores. The biggest commercial area is Diagonal Mar. The local shopping centre offers a wide variety of stores and leisure activities. The neighbourhood went through a revitalisation project in 2004 that resulted in the construction of Parc del Fòrum. Here there is also Bosc Urbà, an urban adventure park where it is possible to experiment different activities such as zip lining or climbing.
