The nearest airport to Nottingham is the East Midlands Airport.

You can easily reach Nottingham by taking the Skylink bus service just outside the terminal. The buses run 20 minutes daily around the clock. From Nottingham the bus leaves from Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus Station. You can buy your ticket from the Airport Information Desk or the bus driver.

Car rental companies are represented at the airport such as Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise and National Car Rental.

Getting around Nottingham is easy. The main bus operator is Nottingham City Transport with over 300 buses providing a comprehensive network of services across the city, 7 days a week.

You can catch any of the Nottingham City Transport ‘City Loop’ buses from the Victoria Centre, which take you round the town centre.

The relatively new tram system run by Nottingham Express Transit (NET) starts at Nottingham Station (Station Street) and runs through the Lace Market, Old Market Square, Royal Centre, right up to Hucknall.

Make sure you have a valid ticket before you board the tram. You can buy your tickets from the ticket machines located on every tram stops. You will also need to validate the ticket before you board the tram.

Nottingham Castle

Wollaton Hall and Deer Park is one of the country’s finest Grade One listed Elizabethan mansions located within 500 acres of lovely parkland and lake. The house is now Nottingham Natural History Museum and at the Wollaton's Courtyard Stables you will find the city's Industrial Museum. Notice, that the parkland has a herd of deer which to admire and large-scale outdoor events and festivals are held here.

Galleries of Justice

The Lace Market is named after the booming lace trade that Nottingham was famous for in the 18th century. This hip and happening part of town is home to some of the city’s best restaurants, bars and shops. The Lace Market

Situated beneath the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre are Nottingham’s man-made sandstone caves, dating back more than 750 years ago. Within the cave walls you can find real medieval tannery and an air raid shelter utilised during World War II.

The Caves

Sherwood Forest

The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard

Games Workshop Warhammer World

Make a visit to this working mill where bread is still produced. The scientist George Green owned the mill in the 19th century and in his memory a science museum for small children is opened next to the mill.

Old Market Square

Highfields is a lovely park located close to Nottingham University Campus and is a well maintained park with magnificent trees, exotic plantings and water features.
